Musical Theatre Classes

At Amber Elephant Performing Arts, our musical theatre classes combine singing, dancing and acting to help students become confident, versatile performers. Whether your child loves to sing, dance, perform, or simply wants to build confidence, our classes provide a fun, supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to shine.

Students develop their performance skills through exciting projects inspired by West End and Broadway musicals, films and popular music. Along the way, they'll improve their confidence, creativity, teamwork and stage presence whilst making lasting friendships.

Each year, students work towards performances and showcases, giving them the opportunity to celebrate everything they've learned in front of family and friends.

Level 1 Musical Theatre (Ages 3–6)

Our youngest performers are introduced to the magic of musical theatre through imaginative play, storytelling, music and movement.

Classes focus on:

• Singing simple songs

• Basic dance and movement

• Acting through imagination and role play

• Music, props and lots of fun games

• Listening and following instructions

• Building confidence

• Making friends and working together

• Developing coordination and creativity

Every class is full of energy, fun and encouragement, helping little performers grow in confidence whilst discovering a love of performing.

Level 2 Musical Theatre (Ages 6–10)

Level 2 develops the core skills of musical theatre while keeping learning engaging and enjoyable.

Students explore:

• Singing as part of a group

• Learning choreography

• Acting through character and storytelling

• Stage confidence

• Musicality and rhythm

• Performance skills

• Teamwork and communication

Throughout the year, students work on exciting routines and scenes inspired by popular musicals, building their confidence with every performance.

Level 3 Musical Theatre (Ages 10–13)

As students progress, they begin to refine their skills and take on more challenging material.

Classes include:

• Vocal technique and harmonies

• More advanced choreography

• Acting through song

• Character development

• Performance technique

• Stagecraft

• Ensemble work

• Showcase performances

Students are encouraged to express themselves creatively whilst developing the discipline and teamwork needed in musical theatre.

Level 4 Musical Theatre (Ages 13–17)

Level 4 offers teenagers the opportunity to develop strong triple-threat performance skills in a supportive and creative environment.

Students work on:

• Advanced singing techniques

• Challenging choreography

• Acting through text and song

• Character interpretation

• Stage presence

• Performance confidence

• Audition preparation

• Musical theatre performance projects
